This concept means that the player will need a stronger starting hand than usual to get in the pot. This will increase the chances of winning.

The Check Raise

This is deceiving the opponents. The player will use this strategy to force the other players to open. It can also be used to intimidate other players as no one would want to check raise.

Short-handed Considerations

This lessens the chance of a player holding strong hands. This is a strategy that is ideal for tournaments involving fewer than normal players.
